Submission Methods

We currently only accept submissions electronically, please use the form to the left or send by email to liam@thesubjournal.co.uk

Submission Deadlines

Each specific publication or competition will have its own submission deadline, if you want your work to be considered for that publication please submit before the specified date. Submissions recived after the deadline or in between publications will be considered for the next issue, unless specified by the contributor.

Content for submission

We’re currently accepting submissions in the following formats, feel free to send as many as you like for consideration:

- Prose of all types including short stories, essays, reviews (4000 words maximum in .doc or .pdf)

- Poetry ( .doc or .pdf)

- Art and Illustrations (PDF or JPG 300DPI)

- Everything else, we love to be surprised and we’ll consider publishing almost anything

Response Time

We’ll get back to you usually within 2 weeks after the submission deadline, we’ll try to get back to everyone with feedback regardless if you’re successful or not but we can not guarantee this in busy times.

Payment

Unfortunately we are unable to pay our contributors at this time but if successful you will receive a complimentary copy.

Rights

Work submitted is subject to minor editing and is copyrighted when published. We don’t ask for exclusivity at this time and the only rights we’re looking for are non-exclusive anthology rights so we print your work in future anthologies. Submissions will be published both online and offline.
